What is Miracast?

Miracast is a feature that allows you to wirelessly cast the screen of your Android device to a Smart TV screen, as long as the TV supports Wireless Display / Miracast.

How to use Miracast?

To use Miracast, follow these steps:

1. Tap "Wireless Display" to access the setup page.
2. On the setup page, toggle the "Wireless display" switch to the ON position.
3. The device will then scan for nearby Miracast devices. After a minute or so, the name of your Miracast adapter should appear. Tap on it.
4. Depending on the adapter, your device may automatically connect, or you may be prompted to enter a PIN code displayed on your TV or projector by the Miracast adapter.
5. Once connected, your Android device screen will be mirrored onto your display.

How to set up your Smart TV?

1. Check if your Smart TV has Miracast as an app that you can run. Press the Menu button on your remote and select "Apps" for your Smart TV. Look for "Miracast", "Screen Casting", or "Wi-Fi Casting" apps.
2. In some cases, Miracast is considered a separate input rather than an app itself. Select "Input" or "Source" on your TV. Look for "Miracast", "Wi-Fi Casting", or "Screen Casting".

How to set up a Miracast dongle?

To set up a Miracast dongle, follow these steps:

1. Plug the dongle or adapter into an available HDMI input port on your TV, projector, or monitor.
2. Plug the small USB cable connected to the device into a USB port on either the TV or an outlet. This cable is used to provide power to the adapter and does not transfer any data.
3. Power on your TV display and switch to the appropriate input for the adapter.
